Shawn became involved with Pinnacles of Right-On-Ness when Robert Zechel expressed interest in having some ethnic and uncommon percussion on an album project he was putting together. In Robert Zechel's words...
"The musicians collaborating on the Pinnacles album reside in the northeast of the U.S. between Boston and Portland, ME. During the first decade of the new millennia we created a small repetoire of material. The evolution of our sound, style and compositions continue as we try to balance form with improvisation and adventure.
Most of the initial tracks for Pinnacles of Right-on-ness were recorded in early 2008, though sections of the compositions date back over a decade. Multi-tracking continued throughout 2008 into 2009. We have maintained the creative process throughout mixing and production. The music can be described as a psychedelic/jazz/funk fusion."
In addition to the Pinnacles album which will be available soon, there are dozens of free downloadable bootleg-style tracks on the website. It is sort of hard to describe really, so click here to see and hear it for yourself!
